Flowering Favors Make Great Green Gifts:

It’s the little things you do that make lasting memories and have a lasting impact on the planet. If being green is something you are proud of and enjoy promoting, these little bulb pots make a great eco-friendly gifts, party favor or decoration when used at weddings, showers, parties, and other gatherings. When the bulb flowers next spring, it will help guests remember your special day, while also combating global warming with the carbon dioxide the plant will consume.

Materials

• Clay pot, 2¼" diameter

• Grass or straw

• 4" square of fabric

• Bulb

• Silk ribbon, ¼" wide, 12" long

• Cardstock

• Hole punch, ¼” diameter

• Pinking shears

1. Place grass or straw in the bottom of the pot.

2. Trim edges of fabric with pinking shears.

3. Add fabric, additional grass or straw, and bulb to pot.

4. Tie ribbon around pot.

5. Use word processing program to create message tags.

6. Print tags on cardstock and cut out.

7. Punch hole and tie tag to ribbon.

Display as centerpieces then let your guests take them home as party favors.
