Disclaimer for Potato Sack:

Please use the Potato Sacks according to your microwave instructions and do not leave sacks unattended when using. There have been reports of scorching in some of the newer more powerful microwaves with higher wattage. The use of these designs does not imply that I ensure the safety of these bags. You must determine for yourself if they are safe to use in your microwave.

Step 1 - Cut 2 pieces of fabric & 1 piece of batting 10" x 22". Place fabric right sides together & place the batting on top. Pin the short 10" sides together.

Step 2 - Sew a 1/2" seam along the top and bottom (10" sides) with right sides together.

Step 3 - Turn right side out, top stitch at the top and bottom.

Step 4 - Place on table with the inside of the bag facing up.

Step 5 - Place a mark 2" down from the top of one edge and fold the bag up to the 2" mark.

Step 6 - Nest, fold the 2" over the top and pin.

Step 7 - Pin the 2" lip through the front part only, so you can turn it.

Step 8 - With the lip pinned in place, turn the bag inside out.

Step 9 - Pin together along the sides and stitch them together. This 2" lip is inside when pinned.

Step 10 - Turn bag right side out.

Step 11 - Now turn the 2" lip over to the front side of the bag so that it is right side out.
